The first class was about Adobe illustrator. We were taught both, the basic tools and the different keys to use them. We tried experimenting with different shapes by filling in them with different colours and outlines. On learning the various ways to increase and decrease the number of sides of the shapes I came across various different and unique shapes and forms. Later we were asked to create a design using basic shapes and forms.

I made a design with a few different shapes which I filled in using white and light blue colours. Overall it was a really great assignment as we were free to explore and make something really unique. On completion of the assignment, we were taught how to use pathfinder using: unite, minus front, intersect, exclude, divide, trim, merge, crop, outline and minus back. A related assignment was given to us. To conclude, my first experience using illustrator was truly amazing where we were left free to explore a new zone of designing.
